Just in time for back-to-school, pair this kid-friendly meal with a simple salad and shoestring potatoes. Sure to be a hit with even the pickiest members of the family!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown diced onion and ground beef until no longer pink. Drain the fat from the pan. Add the ketchup and mustard and cook over low for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, unroll one can of dough and place into an ungreased 13 x 9 inch glass baking dish. Press in the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of the dish, pinching seams together. Spread beef mixture over dough and sprinkle with cheese. Unroll second can of dough and place over cheese. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 30-35 minutes or until mixture is bubbly and dough is golden brown. Cut into squares and serve.
You could easily substitute your favorite sloppy joe recipe for the filling, but I really like the simplicity of this recipe. Also, this can be made earlier in the day and cooked later.
