Description

These are the simplest, most delightful little numbers. They’re ready in 5 to 10 minutes, flavorful, and exceedingly man-pleasing.

Ingredients

  • 7 pieces Or 8 Pieces Breakfast Chops (very Thin Bone-in Pork Chops)
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Cayenne Pepper To Taste
  • ½ cups Canola Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • Extra Salt And Pepper, To Taste

Preparation

Rinse pork chops. (Yes, I rinse my pork chops. Please don’t be hatin’.) Salt and pepper both sides of the pork chops.

Combine all dry ingredients. Dredge each side of the pork chops in the flour mixture, then set aside on a plate.

Heat canola oil over medium to medium-high heat. Add butter. When butter is melted and butter/oil mixture is hot, cook 3 pork chops at a time, 2 to 3 minutes on the first side; 1 to 2 minutes on the other side. (Make sure no pink juices remain.) Remove to a plate and repeat with remaining porch chops.

Delicious and simple! Serve with smashed new potatoes.

I made these last night, what a hit! My husband and son loved them. They were moist, and tasty. My last failed attempt with Chops was so bad I swore I would never make them again. Well I say go for it with this EASY recipe!
Thank you,
kathie~

so..i’m new to cooking & have no chef’s instinct, so about how much cayenne would i use for “cayenne pepper to taste”….should i just sprinkle on what looks like a good amount…do i actually taste the flour mixture :)?…i do have a 4 year old so don’t want anything too spicy, but i also have a man i’m feeding :)…what would be a good recommendation for how much to use?

I made these last night and they were so yummy! I’d never had pork chops that hadn’t been cooked on the grill and these we a pleasant surprise

These were honestly delicious. So simple to make and had amazing flavor. I didn’t have canola oil so I used olive. It worked just fine. The greatest part was my husband liked them. He is not a big pork chop fan, but he told me to make sure I made them again. Also, he pulled out the 57 sauce to use and after tasting them realized he didn’t need it. Thanks!

These pork chops lived up to their name: Simple! And for something so basic, they were certainly delicious! I had never made pan-fried pork chops myself, but my boyfriend has made them for us several times in the past so I had an idea of the basics. I am very cautious about cooking any kind of meat (don’t ask me why, I’m paranoid!) but I followed the instructions and they turned out perfectly! My boyfriend was very impressed. We will definitely use this recipe again!

I tried pan-fried because my husband wasn’t around to grill the pork chops. They turned out beautifully, and my son asked for more.

Love these!! I also make Ree’s restaurant style smashed potatoes with these. I keep the bacon grease to fry the chops in. Delicious!!!
