I made a mistake with a recipe that I was trying, and these delectable sandwiches were the result. You can add beef broth to the drippings, if you prefer to dip your sandwiches.
1. Place roast in slow cooker. Top with soy sauce, bouillon cube, bay leaf, peppercorns, rosemary, thyme, and garlic powder.
2. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours, or until meat is tender.
3. Remove roast and shred meat with two forks.
4. Return meat to broth and heat through. Serve on rolls.

Really good! I was expecting it to be kinda salty so I added a cup of water too. It was a big hit with my family too.

I made this a couple weeks ago and it is delicious, planning to make it again this weekend. The sandwiches taste even better with some swiss cheese on top.

OK—I’m confused about the mitts above, but I would have given it a 5—I think I messed it up & it won’t let me “redo”—sorry! Cheers~

I made this for my family. I didn’t have any soy sauce–my family isn’t crazy about it, so I used some worchestershire and about 1/2 cup water. I used some homemade “Essence” by Emeril to season it—it was amazing. My family loved it! I don’t know why I haven’t thought of this before! So glad you made a mistake long ago and passed it on to us! Thanks so much!

Mine came out super salty. I think I’ll try it without the bouillon cube next time.
Is there any liquid missing? There wasn’t much of anything at the bottom of my crockpot after this was done cooking. Just enough to coat the shredded meat.
Wonderfully tender though!
