A quick, easy, and healthy sauce that goes great over fettuccine or steamed veggies! This is something I came up with when I was short on time and ingredients.
1. In a small saucepan, whisk milk with onion, garlic powder, paprika, cinnamon, red pepper, and nutmeg. Heat over medium-high heat until milk begins to boil. Turn down heat to low.
2. Whisk in dissolved cornstarch. Stir until slightly thickened.
3. Stir in pumpkin and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until smooth.
4. Whisk in Parmesan, salt and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
5. Serve over pasta or sauteed vegetables.
Note: While all of these measurements are approximate, do not skip the Worcestershire. It really seems to pump up this sauce.
