Description

Tender pork and sweet sauerkraut slow-cooked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole (5 To 6 Lb. Size) Pork Roast (Butt)
  • ½ cups Water
  • 16 ounces, fluid Low Sodium Vegetable Stock
  • 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1-½ cup Light Or Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 16 ounces, weight Refrigerated Sauerkraut

Preparation

In a slow cooker (or crockpot), add pork roast, water, vegetable stock, and black pepper.

In a mixing bowl, add sugars and mix together. Add sauerkraut (and the juice from the jar), mix well to dissolve the sugar, and add this into the crockpot with the pork roast. Put the lid on. Cook on medium heat for 2 hours.

Remove pork roast onto a large platter or dish. Use 2 forks and shred pork. Transfer sauerkraut and juices to a bowl to serve alongside shredded pulled pork.

Pork will be tender and delicious. Use the leftover pork for sandwiches!
