Description

How to make evenly-coked, perfectly crisp bacon every time. Step-by-step photo tutorial in the original blog post, for your convenience.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Bacon

Preparation

Line the baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the bacon slices on the foil. Place the pan in a cold oven (this is the trick to getting the fat to render evenly). Set oven to 375ºF. Bake 16-18 minutes (16 for chewier bacon, 18 for crispier bacon). Remove from oven and drain on paper towels. Enjoy.

Notes: This recipe is for standard cut bacon. Cooking times and results will vary if using thick-cut bacon. Cooking times will vary according to your oven. Begin checking the bacon for desired doneness around 14 minutes. The bacon pictured was taken out at 18 minutes and was perfectly crispy in my oven.
