Manwich sauce is used in this cheesy penne dish. It’s so delicious, super easy, made all in one pot and budget friendly.
1. Heat butter in a large pot (use one that’s deep enough to cook pasta in) over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and saute for 5 minutes.
2. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
3. Add chicken into the pot and cook slowly over medium heat. Simmer for 15 minutes or until chicken is mostly white and no longer pink.
4. Add chicken broth, Manwich sauce, water and pasta to the pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 20-25 minutes.
5. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted, reserving a handful of shredded cheese to sprinkle on the top. Cover for a few minutes to allow the cheese to melt. Then stir, serve and enjoy! This is my husband’s favorite!
