Morels sauteed in wine, butter, garlic, onions, and cream, served over hot gnocchi. Need I say more?
Cook gnocchi according to package instructions. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saute pan over medium heat. Add in onions and garlic and saute until soft, but do not allow to brown. Add in the wine, cream, and morel mushrooms. Raise the heat slightly and allow the sauce to simmer and thicken and the mushrooms to soften. Drain gnocchi and divide for serving. Salt and pepper the morel sauce to taste. Pour morel sauce over the gnocchi. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese. Indulge!
