A grown-up grilled cheese sandwich with turkey, jalapeno, smoked Gouda and mac and cheese.
Butter one side of each slice of bread. Heat a skillet on medium heat.
Assemble the sandwich on one slice of bread (buttered side facing down) by layering on the turkey, the cheese, the jalapeno and the mac and cheese (see related blog link or my TastyKitchen recipe box for my recipe). Add the top piece of bread, buttered side facing up.
Add the sandwich to the skillet and cook 3 – 4 minutes per side. Take the sandwich out of the skillet. Leave any of the mac and cheese that fell out in the pan. Cook the mac and cheese until a char forms. Put the extra mac and cheese on the plate. Serve and enjoy!
