Description

Moist, juicy salmon mixed with jalapeno, lime, cheddar and spices. Served with a Greek yogurt and lime sauce.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE BURGER:
  • 1 pound Salmon
  • 1 whole Jalapeno, Chopped
  • ½ cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 whole Lime, Juiced
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 whole Fresh Kaiser Rolls
  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • ¼ cups Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 whole Lime, Juiced
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder

Preparation

1. Preheat the broiler. Roughly chop the salmon into chunks. Place in a food processor and grind until the salmon is completely broken down.
2. In a large bowl, mix salmon with jalapeno, cheese, lime and spices. Mix until evenly distributed. Split the mixture in half to make two evenly sized patties.
3. Heat a large frying pan over medium high heat. Add olive oil and once hot, add patties and cook until it gets a nice crust on each side, about 3½ minutes on each side.
4. Meanwhile, make the sauce. Combine the yogurt, lime juice and spices in a small bowl. Slice the buns in half, put them on a pan with the cut sides facing up and set under broiler until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
5. Plate the dish. Place burger on the bottom half of the bun. Spread sauce over the top and add the top bun. Serve. Enjoy!
