Description

Get the taste of Chinese takeout at home. Slow cooker chicken with a sweet honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Chicken Breast, Cut Into Cubes
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 piece (1-inch Size) Fresh Ginger, Minced
  • 2-½ Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha
  • ¼ cups Pineapple, Cubed
  • ½ Tablespoons Sesame Seeds, For Garnish
  • 1 whole Green Onion, Chopped, For Garnish

Preparation

Season chicken with salt and pepper.

Combine honey, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, maple syrup, ketchup and Sriracha in a small bowl and whisk together. Place chicken in the slow cooker and pour sauce over top. Cook on high for 2 hours.

Remove chicken and place in a side dish. Pour sauce from slow cooker into a small sauce pan and reduce over medium-low heat until thick and syrupy.

Pour sauce over chicken. Add pineapple, sesame seeds and green onion for garnish.

I really loved the way this turned out. I loved the sauce, and the fresh pineapple was so good with the chicken!

I made this today and it was absolutely incredible! I didn’t have any maple syrup on hand, so I subbed in molasses instead. The sauce was just amazing. My family loved the chicken and practically inhaled it. Next time I’m definitely making a double batch so I’ll actually have leftovers!

Ok.. So I saw this recipe and had to go right out and get the ingredients. I prepared it for dinner this evening and cant be happier with how it turned out. Its beyond delicious!!! My husband and two daughters loved it too. This is going to be a perfect for the upcoming Summer months. Thanks for sharing!
