Description

This delightful tasting sauce gives these hens flavor through and through.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Butter Or Margarine, Melted
  • 2 cups Lemon Juice
  • ½ teaspoons Paprika
  • 5 whole Cloves Garlic, Chopped
  • 1 cup Chopped Parsley
  • 2 Tablespoons Chopped Fresh Rosemary
  • ⅛ teaspoons Pepper
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¾ teaspoons Seasoned Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Thyme
  • 6 whole Tyson Cornish Hens

Preparation

Mix the melted butter, lemon juice and seasonings together. Rub mixture all over the hens and under the skin. Place the hens in a large oven bag Pour half of the remaining lemon juice mixture over the hens and shake well. Set the remaining mixture aside for basting. Place the hens in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Remove hens from the refrigerator and place in a large roasting pan with the breast down (this really makes the meat tender and juicy).

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. At this point you want to turn the breast right side up and continue to baste the hens with the remaining mixture every 10 minutes for 30 minutes or until the meat is tender and the juices are clear.
