Description

Finger-licking good!

Ingredients

  • 2-pound Bag Frozen Meatballs
  • 1 10-12-ounce Jar Pineapple Preserves
  • 1 18-ounce Bottle BBQ Sauce

Preparation

Pour bag of frozen meatballs into a 5 or 6-quart slow cooker.

Add preserves and BBQ sauce…stir well.

Cover and cook for 3 to 4 hours, until meatballs are hot, stirring several times.

NOTE: I sometimes add a diced green pepper. This is one of my most popular appetizers. You can substitute the meatballs for two packages of cocktail sausages if preferred.

This sauce is also delicious on pork chops, ribs, tenderloins, chicken, etc. Very tasty!

These sounds so delicious! What do you serve them on when you serve them as a main course? Rice? Or do you mainly serve them as an appetizer? Thanks!

I made a big batch of these for a party the other night, and I barely got to have any myself before they were gone. They were WONDERFUL, and I already know I’ll be making them again, soon!

These meatballs are right up my alley to make. I’ve made them several times now, and since I can’t find pineapple preserves in our little country store, I use the apricot, and it works! This is one recipe that will get used over and over..thanks

It may have been the brand of preserves I used but it didn’t have as much in the way of crushed pineapple as I would have liked. So that’s where my idea of throwing in a small can came from. Maybe next time I’ll try a different brand of preserves!

Thank you, Elainamarie, for the nice compliment! I’m so happy you enjoyed them. I needed an appetizer and just used what I had in the pantry and hoped for the best. Now when I have company, people expect to see a crockpot full of them on the counter…lol. I always keep the ingredients on hand, and love your idea of adding some pineapple chunks…that would be wonderful. I should note that one time I was out of pineapple preserves and used apricot, and it was delicious, too!
