Description

These are simple to make on a busy weeknight and delicious. Who knew the mixture of tuna, apple, swiss cheese and celery could be so good!? I don’t even like tuna, but love it in these sandwiches!

Ingredients

  • 6-½ ounces, weight White Tuna, Drained
  • 1 cup Shredded Swiss Cheese
  • ½ cups Chopped Celery
  • ½ cups Finely Chopped Unpeeled Red Apple
  • ¼ cups Light Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cups Plain Yogurt (You Can Use Non-fat)
  • 1 Tablespoon Finely Chopped Parsley (You Can Use Dried Parsley)
  • 10 slices Country White Or Italian Bread
  • Butter, To Spread On Each Slice

Preparation

In medium bowl, combine all ingredients except bread and butter. Mix well.

Butter one side of each bread slice. Spread 1/2 cup filling on a slice of bread on the unbuttered side. Grill sandwiches in a skillet until bread is light brown and sandwich is hot on the inside.

Makes about 5 sandwiches.
