Description

Such a good sandwich! Very hearty!

Ingredients

  • 1-½ pound Flank Steak
  • 1 Tablespoon Lawry's Seasoning Salt
  • 1 whole Sweet Onion, Sliced Thin
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • ½ pounds Sliced Provolone Cheese
  • 1 loaf Yummy, Hearty Bread
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 stick Butter

Preparation

Sprinkle flank steak with Lawry’s Salt then grill until desired doneness is achieved. Let meat rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Slice thinnish.

Slice onion thinly then caramelize in a pan with the olive oil.

Heat a grill pan, Panini press or if you have a Foreman Grill, that works great, too. Assemble sandwiches with sliced meat, caramelized onions and cheese on two slices of bread spread with mayo. Spread the outside of the bread with a little butter, then grill until toasted and cheese is melty.

These were amazing. My husband took one bite and said we are making these again. The only change I made was leaving out the mayo, I am not a fan of mayo.
