Description

Southern style grilled shrimp marinated in a lightly spicy marinade and served with peppers and onions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp, Raw, Peeled, Deveined, Tail On
  • 1 whole Bell Pepper, Seeded, Cut Into 1" Pieces
  • ½  Red Onion, Cut Into 1" Pieces
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard Or Creole Mustard
  • ½ teaspoons Louisiana Cajun Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • 4 whole Wooden Or Metal Skewers

Preparation

In a sealable baggie, add shrimp, bell pepper and onion. In a small bowl, add soy sauce, olive oil, mustard, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder and pepper; mix well. Add marinade to baggie with shrimp and vegetables. Make sure all of the shrimp and vegetables get covered. Refrigerate for 1 hour to overnight.

Meanwhile, if using wooden skewers, soak skewers in water for 30 minutes. Preheat grill to medium heat.

Skewer vegetables and shrimp onto skewers, alternating between vegetables and shrimp. Place on grill and cook for about 5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook until shrimp is pink, about 2 minutes.
