Description

Super simple, quick and healthy crab cakes that can be made in under 20 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lump Crabmeat
  • 8 whole Saltines, Crushed
  • 1 Tablespoon Plain Greek Yogurt (or Mayo)
  • 1 Tablespoon Mustard
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 pinch Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

Preparation

Combine all ingredients but olive oil in a bowl and stir until thoroughly combined.

Heat a skillet on medium heat and add olive oil. While it’s heating, form the crab mixture into small patties – you will get about 5 to 6 cakes. Place them in the skillet and cook until lightly golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
Makes about 6 small crab cakes.

I put mayo in mine, but I bet the greek yogurt is delicious. I may need to try that substitution!

These were really good, but the amount of mustard was a bit over powering. I just used plain mustard so I’ll either try a different kind of mustard or only use 1 teaspoon instead of a tablespoon next time. Great basic recipe!

I’m making these for the second time today. The first time we had them they were a huge hit! Thanks.

This was my first time making crab cakes, and they turned out awesome! I just wish buying crab wasn’t so expensive…

I was looking for the vanilla cinnamon roll glaze you posted, but came across these, and figured I should review, since I’ve made them a few times. They’re so yummy! My boyfriend said these were the best things I’ve ever made! So healthy, too. And the last time I made them, I added some fancy flavored mustard my mom had on hand, and they were delicious. Good protein and customizable–great recipe!
