Description

Crispy, tasty and comforting pork chops!!!

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Center Cut Pork Chops Or On The Bone
  • ½ cups Bread Crumbs, Any Type (seasoned Or Plain)
  • ½ cups Grated Cheese
  • 1 whole Large Onion, Sliced
  • ¼ cups Chopped Walnuts
  • 1 whole Small Apple Chopped
  • ¼ cups Melted Butter
  • ¼ cups Olive Oil
  • 2 whole Cloves Of Garlic, Chopped Finely

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F. In one large pan, evenly place 6 pork chops. Next, mix grated cheese, garlic and bread crumbs until it gets a little chunky. Spread mixture evenly across all the pork chops. Place in oven and bake for 25-35 minutes.

Cut onion into large strips. Put ¼ cup of olive oil in a pan on top of the stove, add onions and sauté till they are soft, translucent and slightly brown. Set aside.

Melt ¼ cup of butter. Open stove and evenly place the onions, walnuts and apples on top of the pork chops and then pour the ¼ cup of butter over all of the pork. Bake for another 5 minutes.

I have used this recipe with chicken and fish too. I have also substituted the melted butter with Pam Spray, and it gives it the same taste without the calories!

These are indeed delightful–moist and flavorful! I had Italian bread crumbs on hand, which seemed like it might be weird, but it wasn’t at all. I can’t wait to make these again when crisp weather and fresh apples arrive. My husband said these were the best chops I’ve made, and I agreed. My 3 and 2 year-olds ate them too, which is about the highest praise I could offer!
