Description

Deliciously crispy shrimp tacos bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

  • ½ pounds Raw Peeled And Deveined Shrimp (tails Removed)
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • ¼ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Cumin
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ¼ whole Mango, Chopped
  • ¼ whole Red Onion, Chopped
  • ¼ whole Tomato, Chopped
  • Shredded Lettuce, To Serve
  • ¼ cups Chopped Avocado
  • Cilantro, To Serve
  • ¼ cups Grated Cotija Or Cheddar Cheese
  • 4 whole Corn Or Flour Tortillas
  • 1 whole Lime

Preparation

Make sure shrimp is clean and completely dry. Combine salt, pepper, garlic and cumin and sprinkle it over the shrimp. Add the flour to a small bowl, and dredge the shrimp through the flour to get a very light coating on it. Heat a skillet on medium high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the shrimp and brown on each side, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and let drain on a paper towel.

Combine chopped mango, onion and tomato together in a bowl, adding a bit of salt and pepper. Assemble tacos, adding lettuce, shrimp, mango salsa, avocado, cilantro and cheese to each tortilla. Spritz with lime juice.

looks good! One suggestion I usually warm my tortillas up first on a nonstick skillet. turning every two minutes or when the tortilla is puffy. This makes for a warmer and fresher taco!

Delicioso! Simple AND a wonderful mix of flavors. A win win. There are few recipes I make again and again, but this one will be one of my few exceptions!

This was delicious! We didn’t have a ripe mango so I made pico de gallo. I can’t wait to try the mango salsa though. What a great way to cook the shrimp! The next night we had scallops and dredged them in flour as well and they turned out amazing! Thanks for the great idea. This really is super quick to make and such a yummy dinner!
