Description

Delicious slow cooked chicken topped with an “alfredo” type sauce. Even the kids love it!

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 envelope (about 1 Oz.) Italian Salad Dressing (dry)
  • ¼ cups Water
  • 1 package Cream Cheese (8 Oz. Softened)
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Condensed Cream Of Chicken Soup (undiluted)
  • 1 pound Noodles

Preparation

Place the chicken in a slow cooker or crock pot.

Combine salad dressing mix and water. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.

In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and soup until blended.

(Optional: you can stir in mushrooms at this time if you’d like.)

Pour sauce over the chicken and cook for 1 hour longer or until juices run clear.

Serve over noodles.

(My family loves the alfredo sauce, so I often double all of the ingredients except the chicken.)

This is a delicious recipe! I have made this recipe many times and it’s a hit every time! When we have company, I double the sauce ingrediants – everyone that has had it loves it.

I got this recipe several years ago from Taste of Home and they served it over rice. Either way, it’s going to be good. It has always been a big hit! For a little variation, try replacing the water with white wine. It is fabulous!!

I make this but my recipe calls for the chive and onion soft cream cheese and Golden Mushroom soup. It also calls for a cup of dry white wine, which makes the sauce awesome!!

I made this last night after reading the recipe and thinking how yummy this looked, and how easy.

I did a few things slightly different.

I cooked it on high in the slow cooker to help reduce the cooking time from 4 hours. I took closer to 3 – 31/2 to be completely done.

I also doubled the recipe for the sauce, and ended up using the family size (26 oz) can of the cream of chicken soup.

And because the store only seems to sell chicken breasts in packages of 3, I had 6 breasts instead of 4, but there was plenty of sauce to go around.

The verdict: The recipe had great flavor, was super easy to do, and it is a keeper. Thanks!

This is a fantastic recipe. So easy for weeknight dinners, but fancy tasting enough for company. Company will never know how easy it was to put together. I made this last night for my son-in-law’s birthday dinner and it was a winner! In that we had 7 adults attending the party, I doubled the ingredients except I used 12 small chicken breasts. There was lots of sauce left for the 3 leftover chicken breasts. I also used Barilla whole wheat penne. Thanks Angie!

The sauce is the best part of this dish. Crockpot chicken somehow always manages to taste a little overcooked/off to me… I think it would be better to pan-fry, grill, or broil the chicken and then add it to this sauce in the slow cooker.

Always a little leery of crockpot chicken but this recipe was so good. I added mushrooms the last hour & it made the dish.

AMAZING! My boyfriend and I both devoured a huge plate of this delicious chicken Alfredo pasta yesterday… And a little bit more for dinner! I was so pleasantly surprised that such a simple recipe could taste so good… I did get a BIT miffed that the note about usually doubling the Alfredo portion was at the bottom. I have seen this several times and it drives me nuts. I read through the whole recipe a few days before, plan on making it, then follow it that day and get to the bottom only to remember that I should have doubled the sauce and it is much too late. Definitely would have enjoyed more sauce! Please put those little notes about your preferences AT THE TOP!!! :)

Ridiculously, Outrageously, DELICIOUS! This will absolutely be added to my short list of “go to” crock pot recipes to see us through the cold MN winter. Thanks Angie for the great recipe!
