Description

This “Pink Casserole” as my girls like to call it, is delicious and creamy. Say good-bye to Hamburger Helper. This is way better and comes together quickly, too!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef Or Ground Turkey
  • ½ cups Chopped Onion
  • 16 ounces, weight Egg Noodles (I Do Half White, Half Wheat)
  • 15 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
  • 10 ounces, fluid Tomato Soup
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 4 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • 2 cups Shredded Colby Jack Or Casserole Cheese, Divided Use

Preparation

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat with chopped onions. When the meat is browned and the onions are translucent, remove skillet from heat and drain off the grease. Set the skillet aside.

In a separate pot, cook noodles according to package instructions. When they are done, drain and rinse them.

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Combine all of the remaining ingredients (except the noodles and 1 cup of shredded colby jack cheese) in the meat skillet. Stir on low heat until cream cheese is melted and creamy. Add noodles, mix well.

Put the mixture into a 9 x 13 casserole dish. Add remaining 1 cup cheese to the top and bake at 350 F for 25-30 minutes.

Enjoy your creamy, “pink” casserole!
