Description

This recipe is so good and so easy. It tastes great warm right out of the oven, or great cold the next day!

Ingredients

  • 1 package Cream Cheese (8 Oz.)
  • 2 cans Chunk Chicken Breast In Water, Drained (13 Oz)
  • ¼ teaspoons Dried Parsley
  • 1 Tablespoon Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1 package Crescent Rolls (8 Count)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine cream cheese, chicken, parsley, and onion. Mix well.

Open package of crescent rolls. Do not divide into triangles. Keep every 2 triangles together, forming 4 squares. Pinch the seam in the middle of each square together and pat each one out into a larger square.

Divide the chicken mixture equally between the 4 squares. Fold biscuit to the top, pinching at the top.

Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes.

I did change these quite a bit, but they were really good! I used reduced fat cream cheese, and added sauteed mushrooms & green onions and a bit of thawed frozen spinach. I also threw in a handful of parmesan. When I opened my crescent rolls (reduced fat also), they were all weird and ripped, so I ended up just making 2 big popovers instead of the 4. I baked them for about the same time.. 35 minutes, because the filling was already warm when I put them together. YUM!!! This is a great base recipe! Thanks, SuzieQ!

I let my chicken cook all day in the crock pot while I was at work. This was so easy and fast to pull together. My husband loved it.

I have been making these for my kids for quite some time. My boys beg for them. I do not use parsley or onion, though. When I’m in a hurry I just use chicken, cream cheese, and crescent rolls. I have also made them with broccoli, and another time I added some frozen spinach (microwaved to heat and drained) and garlic powder. Both ways were good, but my kids preferred the spinach/garlic version.
