Description

A family favorite: cheesy biscuits, creamy chicken … ultimate comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Shredded Chicken (I Use One Large Rotisserie Chicken)
  • 1 stick Butter, Divided
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 whole Small Red Or Yellow Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 3 stalks Celery, Medium Sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Can) Chicken Broth
  • 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • 1 pinch Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups Bisquick Mix
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar (sharp And/or Mild)
  • ⅔ cups Milk

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Melt half of the butter with minced garlic; saute for 1 minute. Set aside.

Place the shredded chicken into a casserole dish.

In a saute pan, melt the remaining butter. Saute celery and onions for approximately 4 minutes.

Lower the heat, add flour, and then chicken broth. Simmer for 2 or 3 minutes.

Take off heat and add cream of chicken soup, add salt and pepper to taste.

Pour over shredded chicken and mix in well.

In a bowl, mix Bisquick mix, milk and shredded cheese. Drop this by rounded spoonfuls onto the chicken.

Baste the biscuits with the previously-made garlic butter and cook in the oven for 22-25 minutes.

This was easy and delicious, thank you for sharing! My family and I absolutely loved it. The fact that it was not difficult and didn’t call for hard-to-find ingredients and yet tasted amazing was a definate bonus! It is definately one of my favs!

This was absolutely delicious. My husband hates celery and onions so I used mixed veggies instead. The biscuits taste just like the ones at Red Lobster. The hubby gave it a 10 out of 10 :)

I made this last night and it was AWESOME!! I read all the comments and reviews before making. I added chopped carrots to the onions and celery when I sauteed. I also added peas to the gravy. Wanted to make recipe once before making any more changes. I WILL be making this again and often! We love gravy and next time I will be doubling the ingredients for the gravy. Will post my results. This recipe is very adaptable to your family’s tastes or to whatever veggies you have around. It is so flavorful. You won’t be disappointed with the dish! Thanks!!

I have been trying to make something that my entire family would eat for WEEKS now & had no luck. …& then I made this. My super picky children gobbled it right up & asked for me. My husband & I loved it, too. I don’t like celery so I added diced carrots instead, & it was amazing.
Thank you so much for sharing! =)

This was great! I added diced carrots to the mix for a little extra nutrition. I also only used about 1-2 T of butter on top of the biscuits, which I thought was plenty. My whole family, including my 3 yr old and 18 month old, enjoyed it. I will be making it again soon!

This wasn’t my favorite dish. It tasted very “casserole-y”, for lack of a better word. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!
