A delectable twist on a grilled cheese sandwich with fresh blueberries, Gruyere cheese and molasses for sweetness.
Heat half of the butter in a skillet on medium-high heat.
Butter one side of each slice of bread with the remaining butter.
Start to build your sandwich. Take one slice of bread, buttered side down, and spread the smashed blueberries evenly. Then layer on the cheese and spinach. Lastly, drizzle the molasses onto the ingredients. Grab a seat—it may take a while! Ha.
Close things up with the top slice of bread (buttered side up) and carefully transfer the sandwich onto the skillet.
Bring the heat to medium-low and let the sandwich cook for approximately 3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich and let it cook for another 3 minutes, or until golden brown.
