Description

The Best Baked Cod is an easy oven-baked healthy meal idea. Lightly breaded, Parmesan panko crusted cod fish filet. Quick from freezer to plate.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Cod (about 4 Fillets)
  • ¼ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons Melted Butter
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • ⅛ teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning (or Seasoned Salt)
  • ⅛ teaspoons Dried Basil
  • Pepper To Taste
  • 1 dash Hot Sauce

Preparation

In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, lay cod filets in a single layer.

In a bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, melted butter, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, dried basil, pepper, and hot sauce. Spoon the cheese mixture over each filet.

Bake at 350°F for 10–25 minutes or until fish just starts to flake. Baking time will depend on the thickness of the fish you use.

Notes:
• Instead of cod, feel free to use any type of white fish, such as tilapia.
• Use fresh or frozen fish. Fish can be thawed prior to baking or add about 10 minutes to cooking time if using frozen filets.
