Description

Moist and flavorful beer-brined chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (12 Oz. Size) Beer
  • 2 cups Water
  • ¼ cups Salt
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • 2 leaves Bay Leaves
  • 12 pieces Chicken, Boneless, Skinless Thighs
  • ½ bottles (16 Oz. Size) BBQ Sauce
  • 1 ounce, fluid Orange Juice (optional)

Preparation

Note: This recipe requires several hours of marinating, so plan ahead!

In a large bowl combine the beer, water, salt, sugar and bay leaves. Stir until the sugar and salt are dissolved. Add the chicken, cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

Preheat a BBQ grill on medium-high heat or heat the oven to 425 F.

Drain the chicken and place on an aluminum foil-lined rimmed pan. Pat the tops dry with paper towel.

Pour the BBQ sauce evenly over the chicken. Put it into the oven or on the grill and grill or bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 180 F.

Made this yesterday! We used boneless skinless chicken breasts… and brined for 24 hours because that’s whats easiest for us. We also basted the chicken when it had about 8 minutes left to cook with more BBQ sauce so it’d have that good “slather” of BBQ on top like most people like…

GREAT RECIPE! Healthy, easy….tasty… all good qualities! Thanks!
