Description

My husband never liked pork chops because they tend to get dry. Until now. My whole family loves these, and they are so easy.

Ingredients

  • ½ bottles Favorite Beer
  • ½ bottles BBQ Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Bottled Steak Seasoning
  • ½ whole Onion, Chopped
  • 4 whole Pork Chops (I Use Boneless)

Preparation

Turn your pan on medium high and let it get nice and hot. Hot enough to brown the pork chops, but not burn them. While you are waiting for your pan to heat up, sprinkle your pork chops with the steak seasoning (I use McCormick’s). Then slice your onions. I like to cut them in rings and then in half.

Once you’re done with the onions, place the seasoned pork chops in the pan. The purpose of this is to just brown the outside of the pork chops, not cook them all the way through. Once one side is brown, flip them. When the last side has browned, take the pork chops out of the pan and set them aside.

Now comes the fun part. Open the can of beer and carefully pour 1/2 the bottle in the pan. Drink the rest. If you are working with an open flame, you should remove the pan from the heat before adding the beer. Once the beer is in the pan, scrape the little pieces of spice and pork chop that stuck to the bottom of the pan while you were browning them. Then add the BBQ Sauce. Give it a good stir.

Once it is all mixed together, put the pork chops back in the pan. Take your sliced onions and place them on top. Cover. Now turn the stove down to low and let simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, depending on how thick your pork chops are. You can also use more than 4 pork chops. Sometime I use 6.

I serve mine over rice.

I cooked these chops up last night and they were moist and the bbq flavor was just right! I served them over brown rice and poured a bit of the sauce over the top.
The family loved them! Thanks for sharing. It’s nice to have another GREAT way to cook up those pork chops for dinner.
