Description

Hearty turkey and bacon burgers, with creamy goat cheese and tangy pineapple—a new twist on burgers just in time for grilling season!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey 85-15
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ancho Chile Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
  • 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil, For Grill Grates
  • 4 slices Pineapple (your Preferred Thickness For Topping A Burger)
  • ½ cups Crumbled Goat Cheese
  • 8 slices Bacon (cooked)
  • 4  Hamburger Buns

Preparation

Place turkey in a bowl and add, salt, pepper, cumin, chile powder and Old Bay seasoning. Mix gently, but thoroughly with your hands to ensure spices are evenly distributed.

Form turkey into four 4-ounce patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Set them aside on a plate.

Whisk together soy sauce and brown sugar in a small bowl until sugar dissolves. Set aside.

Preheat grill to high. Dip a paper towel in the vegetable oil, hold the towel in some tongs and rub the oil over the grill grill grates.

Add burgers and pineapple slices to the hot grill. Brush both with the soy sauce and brown sugar mixture. Grill both for 2-3 minutes per side. Then carefully flip them. After flipping and grilling for 2-3 minutes on the second side, top burgers with goat cheese, pineapple and bacon. Grill for another minute until cheese starts to melt. When done remove them from the grill to a clean plate.

Meanwhile, wrap buns in slightly damp paper towels and microwave for 15 seconds to steam them.

Place burgers on buns and serve immediately.
