Description

An easy to prepare Lobster Bake. All veggies and lobster are steamed in a pressure cooker, done in less than 15 minutes. A 100% Maine-made meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Maine Lobsters
  • 2 ears Corn
  • 2 pounds Small Red Or Purple Potatoes
  • 6 whole Small Pearl White Onions
  • 12 ounces, fluid Light Beer
  • 4 cloves Garlic, Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Chopped Basil
  • 1 Tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 4 leaves Bay Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse Salt Or Sea Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 2 pounds Rib Eye Steaks
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 whole Lemon

Preparation

Have the BBQ going to cook steaks prior to cooking lobsters.

Carefully remove rubber bands from claws of lobsters. One claw is for crushing the other is for tearing, and yes, they will bite you. Place lobsters into pressure cooker. Cut corn into thirds leaving husks on and add to pot along with potatoes and onions. Pour beer over lobsters and veggies, add herbs and spices then cover pot. Cook on high until lobsters turn red, typically around 12-15 minute.

Meanwhile, BBQ steaks on grill. Serve lobsters and steaks with lots of creamy melted butter, fresh bread, garden salad and garnish with lemon wedges. (A large pot can be used if a pressure cooker is not available; increase cooking time to 20 minutes.)
