My dad’s recipe for creamed cucumber salad. It reminds me of Iowa summers every time I make it!
Slice cucumbers to desired thickness. (My dad likes them really thin; I like them a little thicker.) Also, thinly slice the onion. Put cucumbers and onions in a large bowl and mix together.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the mayo, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper, and dill. Pour over the cucumber and onion mixture, stir until well combined.
Cover and refrigerate for 8-12 hours before serving.
Great for a cool, refreshing side dish at a summer picnic!
