Such a good sandwich! Very hearty!
Sprinkle flank steak with Lawry’s Salt then grill until desired doneness is achieved. Let meat rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. Slice thinnish.
Slice onion thinly then caramelize in a pan with the olive oil.
Heat a grill pan, Panini press or if you have a Foreman Grill, that works great, too. Assemble sandwiches with sliced meat, caramelized onions and cheese on two slices of bread spread with mayo. Spread the outside of the bread with a little butter, then grill until toasted and cheese is melty.
