A lower-fat version of creamy Parmesan pasta sauce!
In a skillet, saute garlic in oil until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until blended (mixture will be thick). Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes (or more) or until thickened. Remove from heat; gradually stir in cheese and basil until cheese is melted. Serve over hot cooked pasta.

This recipe passed muster from my pickiest critics! It is very flavorful and creamy. I used dried basil, since it was all I had available, and it was just as yummy. I changed the quantities for 6 servings to make extra for the chicken.
