Description

Fast and easy anytime meal that everyone will love. Customized pizza pockets (or calzones) to please the whole family!

Ingredients

  • 1 can Refrigerated Pizza Crust, 13.8 Ounce Size (or Use Homemade Pizza Dough, Enough For 1 Medium/large Pizza)
  • ⅓ cups Jarred Pizza Sauce
  • ¼ teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoons Garlic Salt
  • ½ cups Desired Meat Or Veggies (i.e., Cooked Sausage, Diced Pepperoni, Or Cooked Veggies)
  • ½ cups Shredded Cheese (i.e., Mozzarella, White Cheddar, Parmesan, Etc.)
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter, Melted, For Brushing

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 425°F (215°C).

Divide pizza dough into 4 pieces. Roll out each piece of the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. Shape the pizza dough by rolling into a rectangle. Transfer the dough pieces to a parchment lined or lightly greased cookie sheet.

Spoon about a tablespoon or so of pizza sauce in a stripe down the center of each piece of dough, running lengthwise.

Add a dash of Italian seasoning and garlic salt on top of pizza sauce. Add to each piece of pizza dough 1-2 tablespoons of cooked meat (chopped pepperoni, cooked sausage), cooked vegetables, and/or shredded cheese (like mozzarella, Parmesan or other shredded cheese).

Fold pizza dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal.

Make 2-3 diagonal cuts 1 1/2 inches apart down the top of the dough, cutting within a 1/2 inch of the filling. Brush tops with melted butter.

Bake at 425°F (215°C) for 25-35 minutes (depending on the size of your pizza pocket).

Recipe made vegetarian with no meat added.
