A wonderful fresh-tasting alternative to that canned stuff for the holidays. So yummy, I make it any time I can get fresh cranberries.
Rinse cranberries, then finely chop them. I use a food processor.
Mix sugar into chopped cranberries and let set in the refrigerator for at least 3 to 4 hours (or longer, if necessary).
Twenty minutes prior to serving, drain cranberries and canned crushed pineapple. Do not rinse, just make sure it is drained well. Fold cranberries, pineapple, pecans and grapes with Cool Whip. Grapes can be decreased according to personal preference.
This makes a beautiful salad for your Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner.
