This was so tasty. I used half the amount of soy sauce and subbed water for the rest. My family loved it!

This is a very easy dinner!
I used low sodium soy sauce (don’t really care for the regular overly salty taste of the regular kind). I also used 3 frozen chicken breasts instead of the chicken thighs. I shredded the chicken after 5 hours and then added cooked brown rice to the mixture and let it mix together for about 30 minutes before serving.

Yum! A great addition to my slow cooker recipes! EVERYONE enjoyed and that is saying alot.

Just made this today. It was delicious.
I didn’t think it had too much soy sauce… just right.
It might need something else though, according to my husband. I thought it was fine the way it was… but I would say, feel free to experiment with various flavours that compliment soy-sauce based dishes if you wish to add more “color” of flavors… otherwise, lovely!

It was a little too soy sauce-y for my liking. 1/2 cup may be too much — try 3/4ths of the 1/2, and it may get perfect… or more brown sugar to give it a sweeter taste.
