Description

A super easy way to prep BBQ pulled pork!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Boneless Pork Ribs
  • 10 dashes Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 12 ounces, fluid Can Of Coke (do NOT Use Diet)
  • 1 bottle (18 Oz. Bottle) Your Favorite BBQ Sauce, Amount To Taste

Preparation

Cut the pork ribs into pieces, using the pre-cut slices as a guide. Place in a slow cooker and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour can of Coke in the slow cooker, cover and cook for 6 – 8 hours on low.

Remove meat and allow to cool enough to handle. Shred the meat apart into bite-sized pieces. Discard Coke from the slow cooker and return meat. Cover with BBQ sauce to your desired taste. Some people like the meat dryer, others dripping with BBQ sauce.

Heat through and serve on your favorite sandwich buns.

I bought a 6 pound pork shoulder (just over $5) and used 16 ounces of coke. Cooked it in the crock pot for 5-1/2 hours and the bones fell off and I had a hard time getting big pieces out of the crock pot.

The fat easily separated so I could feed it to the dogs and then pork was easy to shred with two forks – no burnt fingers or waiting for it to cool.

Will definitely do this again!

boneless pork ribs are just slices off a pork shoulder. You can save $ if you get a shoulder when it’s on sale and slice it into chunks.

Yummy! We do a similar thing here in HK, with spare ribs, coca cola and soya sauce and roasted slowly in the oven or BBQ… I’m going to try this tomorrow!

I make this recipe about once a month and its is so easy. The pork turns out moist and delicious. It is flavorful and a hit with the family. Love it!

This works excellent with nearly any cut of pork, just adjust your cooking times accordingly. I had a chunk of pork tenderloin that found itself with a case of freezer burn (shame on me, mustn’t let these treats be swallowed by the freezer!) and I tossed it in the crockpot with a can of coke and half an onion. I simply cut the onion in half and separate it on the bottom of the crockpot prior to adding meat and coke. Great flavor and so easy to do!

Very good. I used Dr. Pepper instead of Coke and it still turned out really well. Moist and flavorful.
