Description

Surprisingly, I have developed a love for Brussels sprouts. Shred them and top with bacon and cheese. No one can resist!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Whole Brussels Sprouts
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter (or Bacon Grease, Or Oil)
  • ½ cloves Garlic, Minced
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 slice Bacon, Fried And Crumbled
  • ½ ounces, weight Asiago Cheese, Grated

Preparation

I begin by cutting the stems off the Brussels sprouts–you can do this or skip this step.

Add sprouts to a food processor and pulse until sprouts are tiny shreds. Do it manually so you can control the size of the shreds. You want some larger pieces and you don’t want them to be crumbs!

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and shredded sprouts, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and saute for about 5-7 minutes, or until sprouts are browning. Add vinegar while stirring and make sure sprouts are all coated. Saute for another 1-2 minutes. Remove and plate.

Top with crumbled bacon and a small sprinkling of asiago cheese. Devour!

I have been wanting to try shredded brussels for a while, this looks like a yummy recipe! Especially with the bacon, my husband will love that :)

I’ve recently fallen head over heels for brussels sprouts, too… and this blend of vinegar, bacon & sprouts is a match made in heaven. Thanks for the recipe!

I don’t usually like brussel sprouts. However, made this for my husband who loves them, but wanted something different than the standard boiled ones. I must say I really like this version! It tones down that strong taste. Great recipe!
