Looks Delicious! Chorizo and Blackened Chicken Sandwich

Posted by in Looks Delicious!

Tasty Kitchen Blog: Looks Delicious! (Mango and Smoked Chorizo Sandwich with Blackened Chicken and Chimichurri, submitted by TK member by Nitin Budhiraja of Nomaste)

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this sandwich for weeks, and I figured it was time to share the torture. This Mango & Smoked Chorizo Sandwich with Blackened Chicken and Chimichurri may look and sound complicated, but it really isn’t. It just takes 15 minutes of prep time, and all of half an hour to cook. It doesn’t call for a whole lot of hard-to-find ingredients, either! The flavors are clean yet explosive, and the ciabatta roll helps soak up all the wonderful juices from the chicken, chorizo, and chimichurri.

If you have a grocery trip coming up, I highly suggest grabbing what you need to make this sandwich. It’s spicy, smoky, sweet, tangy, and herbaceous—a killer chicken sandwich taken to new heights. You’ll love it!

Thanks for sharing this, Nitin! For the printable recipe, click the photo above. And don’t forget to visit his blog, Nomaste (clever name!), for more incredible recipes like this.

Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start!

Looks Delicious! Cilantro Sauces

Posted by in Looks Delicious!

Tasty Kitchen Blog: Looks Delicious! Cilantro Pesto and Cilantro Yogurt Sauce, submitted by TK member Jessie of Life as a Strawberry.

I love sauces. They’re a quick and easy way to make simple grilled meats and vegetables extra special, and for me, a good sauce can take any wrap or sandwich to moreish levels.

I’ve had my eye on this pair of cilantro sauces from TK member Jessie ever since she submitted them: Cilantro Pesto and Cilantro Yogurt Sauce. I happen to love cilantro, but if you prefer, I’m pretty sure you could substitute parsley or even dill, or whatever your favorite herb might be. Maybe even mint for some lamb kebabs!

Sauces are a great way to get out of a grilling rut and they take almost no time to whip up. If you’re looking for something new to try, I vote for these!

Thanks Jessie for sharing the recipe! Jessie blogs at Life as a Strawberry. Go check it out!

Looks Delicious! Cinnamon Chai Cream Pie

Tasty Kitchen Blog: Looks Delicious! (Cinnamon Chai Cream Pie, submitted by TK member Amber Potter of Sprinkled with Flour)

I know I said I wanted to hold on to summer a bit longer, but honestly, I’m also looking forward to fall and all its wonderful flavors. For me, fall usually means our favorite food items become available in pumpkin flavor, and there’s nothing like warm drinks and the scent of apples and spice to really complement that nice chill in the air.

Pair those flavors with a silky cream pie, and you get an incredible Cinnamon Chai Cream Pie like the one posted by sprinkledwithflour. It has a graham cracker crust that’s kicked up with toasted hazelnuts and almonds, a cinnamon pudding filling, topped with chai-infused whipped cream.

In her blog post, she says the recipe was a “disaster turned delicious.” From where I’m standing, it looks like an absolute autumnal triumph.

Thanks for a wonderful recipe, Amber!

Do check out Amber’s blog Sprinkled with Flour for more of her delicious recipes, including a Caramelized Pineapple and Cinnamon Creme Brulee that looks simply divine.

Looks Delicious! Classic Pizza Margherita

Tasty Kitchen Blog: Looks Delicious! (Classic Pizza Margherita, submitted by TK member Jessica of Kohler Created)

Sometimes, all I want is a pizza with simple ingredients. A pizza with classic toppings that uses fresh tomatoes instead of sauce. Whole wheat bread flour in the crust is a plus, too.

This Classic Pizza Margherita from Tk member Jessica looks absolutely delicious, and I really like the addition of ricotta and artichoke hearts, which I think elevates it beyond the traditional basil, tomatoes, and mozzarella combination.

Thanks for posting this, Jessica! See more of Jessica’s wonderful recipes in Kohler Created, where you can also read about her husband Neil’s racing hobby (how cool is that!), backpacking, and gardening.
