Description

This is the only way we eat meatballs. I usually double the recipe and freeze some for later. If you don’t like spicy food, leave out the pepper flakes. If you don’t like garlic, leave it out. Make it your recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Small Onion
  • 5 Tablespoons Olive Oil, Divided
  • 1-½ pound Ground Turkey
  • 5 Tablespoons Bread Crumbs
  • 1 whole Large Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Chopped Parsley
  • ½ bulbs Roasted Garlic Crushed Into Paste
  • ½ teaspoons Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Pepper
  • ½ cups Pecorino Or Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 jar (24 Oz. Size) Marinara Sauce Of Your Choice

Preparation

Saute onion in a little olive oil, about 1 tablespoon.

In a large bowl add the remaining ingredients (except the marinara sauce and remaining olive oil) and mix well. Gently mix, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Shape into golfball-size balls. I use an ice cream scoop so they are even in size.

In a large nonstick skillet, heat the remaining 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and, without moving or turning the meat, allow it to brown for about 3 minutes. Turn meatballs and brown other side.

Add marinara sauce, cover and cook on low for about 20 minutes.
