Description

This is one of my picky eater’s favorites, mostly because it’s uncomplicated and tastes like what he would get in a restaurant. This recipe is based on 2 people eating it. If you have more, then just recalculate the quantities accordingly.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Chicken Breasts, Frozen
  • 4 whole Carrots
  • ½ cups Teriyaki Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Minced Garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Powder (of Fresh Ginger...whatever!)
  • 1 package Uncle Ben's Teriyaki Flavored Rice, 8 Ounce Package Or Larger

Preparation

*Thaw the chicken breasts and cut them into small chunks.
*Clean and cut the carrots into small pieces.
*Put carrots in crock pot, then chicken.
*Generously pour teriyaki sauce over chicken and carrots.
*Top with garlic, brown sugar, and a few shakes of ginger powder (for those of you with the big spice racks that come with spices, there’s usually ginger in there).
*Set your crockpot on Low heat and cook all day.
*Cook rice separately.
* Spoon the chicken mixture over the rice. And enjoy.

Pretty good… there was not enough sauce though. Also, the teriyaki sauce I used seemed too salty, but that’s not your fault!

Sorry… I made this today, the chicken was so dry and the carrots burnt… I used a smaller crockpot to avoid it being too spread out (maybe that was the prob)… sorry for the low rating… had to throw it all out and now have pizza in the oven. :(
