Description

Spicy hot sweet sriracha hot chili sauce will spice up any dish. I’ve added the beloved hot chili sauce to young chicken drumsticks along with some mesquite seasoning and created one super hot dish.

Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Young Chicken Drumsticks
  • ½ cups Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
  • ¼ cups Mesquite Seasoning
  • ½ cups Honey
  • ¼ cups Olive Oil

Preparation

Preheat oven 350F.

Clean and pat dry drumsticks, leave skins on.

Place drumsticks in a gallon sized Ziplock bag. Add sriracha hot chili sauce, mesquite seasoning, honey and oil. Shake to combine. Let marinate for one hour.

Place drumsticks on a baking sheet or baking pan. Bake at at 350F for 30 minutes. Remove and let the meat rest for 10 minutes prior to serving.

Add any sides desired, we eat this with salad. Well, you end up eating so many of these you don’t need much in the way of side dishes.

Enjoy!

Oh, it was delicious…in fact we used it on tights too, the second time. I am pretty sure, we will never do chicken any other way again. We re-heated them on the grill once and another time, we shredded the chicken and used it for chicken tacos with a sweet chili sauce and sour cream mixed….YUM!

We love Sriracha so I had to try this recipe immediately – not the best chicken we’ve had, but it was pretty good. Had to extend the cookie time a bit to reach the proper internal temp and my drumsticks were still a little pale so I put them under the broiler for a few minutes to brown.

So easy and delicious! I made it even easier with another shortcut – I used orange marmalade instead of honey and it came out great. Though I will try it as it is next time.

Umm these were ridiculously good. My husband and I could not stop eating them. Such a great combination of flavors and we loved the heat of it. Will definitely be making this again and again. And I have about 5 pounds of chicken wings in the freezer and I think this sauce is calling their name. This recipe is pure genius.

The most amazing flavor combination for chicken. My husband and I have tried to drum sticks and tighs. We also re-heated them on the grill the next day and the grill char and taste added amazign flavor! It’s a must try!
