Description

This has become a quick and easy go-to recipe for our family. It’s spicy and creamy, which makes us all happy.

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces, weight Penne Pasta
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil, Divided
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Diced
  • 1-½ pound Chicken Breast, Diced
  • ¼ whole Habanero Pepper, Or More To Taste, Diced
  • 1 whole Green Pepper, Diced
  • 1 whole Small Onion, Diced
  • 3 Tablespoons Salted Butter, Or More As Needed, Divided
  • ½ cups Heavy Cream

Preparation

Start your pasta! Add it to boiling water and cook according to package instructions.

Over medium heat, sauté the garlic with a tablespoon of butter. Add the chopped chicken and another 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the habanero pepper. Turn stove heat to medium/high. Stirring often, cook until the chicken is done and juices are clear.

About now, your pasta should be done. Drain the water and put into a bowl or back into the pan.

Lower stove heat to medium/low. Now, add your diced green peppers and onion, then stir with the chicken. Add 2-3 tablespoons of butter to the pan, ¼ cup of heavy cream and the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.

Stir this up and taste your sauce. Is it spicy enough? If not, add a little more hot pepper, but remember that you don’t want it too spicy to eat.

Now, after this is done, spoon the chicken, veggies and cream sauce over a bowl of noodles and serve.

(If you need or want more sauce, add a little more cream and butter.)
