Description

A super easy dinner for two that will have your mouth watering the entire time it cooks!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Finely Chopped Onion
  • ½ cups Chopped Celery
  • 1 whole Medium Green Pepper, Chopped
  • 14 ounces, weight Petite Diced Tomatoes, With Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 10 ounces, weight Canned Sliced Mushrooms, Drained
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
  • ¼ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Parsley Flakes
  • 1 pound Cooked Fresh & Shelled Shrimp

Preparation

Put onion, celery and green pepper into 3.5L slow cooker.

Combine the next 9 ingredients in a bowl.

Pour over the top of the veggies & cover.

Cook on LOW for 6 -8 hours or on HIGH 3-4 hours.

Add shrimp & stir.

Cook on HIGH for 20-30 minutes until shrimp is heated thoroughly.

Stir well before serving.

Serve over rice.

Delicious! Next time I think I’ll add in some jalepenos to give a little extra bite. And I’ll double the recipe so I can have some leftovers!

I was nervous making this because I was trying to recreate the taste of the shrimp creole my mom made us when we were little. This was spot on and much easier than her recipe! My husband loved it too and had never tried shrimp creole before.
