Tastes just like them but is great for when you don’t have buns! Also great for using up extra ground beef.
Cook the beef until crumbled and browned. Add can of Manwich and simmer until hot throughout.
Spray a 9×13 pan. Unroll a tube of crescent rolls as a sheet and pinch together seams. Lay it in the bottom of the pan.
Spread sloppy joe mixture on top. Cover evenly with shredded cheese. Unroll second tube of crescent rolls. Lay it as a sheet on top of the casserole.
Cook at 350 degrees for 15 minutes (or until crescent rolls are golden brown).

I do think you could cut it in half and make it in an 8×8 pan with only one tube of crescent rolls. I have never tried to freeze it, so you might be better off halving it??

I made it this afternonn and 2 of the 5 kids liked it. I thought it was fine but with so many leftovers I guess I’ll make regular sloppy joes next time.

I made this last night. I LOVE how simple this is. What a great idea! I changed it up slightly. In order to save money, I’ve been making a lot of things from scratch – so I tried to make my own crecent roll dough. It was yummy, but SUPER puffy. I have about 3 inches of bread around a tiny bit of sloppy joe mix. I think I’ll either try to perfect that dough recipe, or just stick with the Pilsburry cans. They never mess up.
