Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Canola Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Hot Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Herbes De Provence
  • 1 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Penzey's Arizona Dreaming Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 pound Frozen Shrimp (thawed, Peeled And Deveined)
  • 1 whole French Baguette, Cut Into Fourths And Toasted
  • 1 whole Roma Tomato, Sliced For Garnish
  • 1 cup Arugula, For Garnish

Preparation

In a small bowl, combine the mayo, hot sauce and lemon juice. Stir until combined and set aside.

In another little bowl, combine the herbs de provence, paprika, Arizona Dreaming seasoning, garlic powder and cayenne. Toss over the shrimp, coating them.

Heat the oil in a medium skillet. Add the shrimp and sear on one side for 2 minutes. Flip and sear 30 more seconds. Remove from heat.

Spread the mayo along the inside of the baguette. Layer with tomato, arugula and seared shrimp.

I think as a substitution, maybe increase the other ingredients? I threw it in last second. HA! Let me know how they turn out!

These were so very yummy! I really enjoyed the spiciness (is that a word, or did I just spell it wrong) of the shrimp! The sauce that you put on the bread before you eat it was a little runny and hard to apply. I was thinking it would be more like the consistancy of mayo but it wasnt. However, I was not disappointed in the taste, so no complaint here. Thank you for such a great twist on shrimp and regular sandwich type eating.
