Description

A delicious Italian recipe that you can have on the table in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Ziti Noodles (16 Oz)
  • 1 pound 93/7 Ground Beef
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced Onion (you Can Use Fresh If You Prefer)
  • 2 Tablespoons Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder (or Minced Garlic, If You Prefer)
  • 1 jar Favorite Pasta Sauce - 26 Oz (I Prefer Prego Mushroom)
  • 1 block Whole Milk Mozzarella Cheese - 16 Oz (the Really Soft Stuff)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375F.

Boil noodles until al dente (or preferred “done-ness”), according to package instructions.

Brown ground beef with the minced onion, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder until the beef is done (seasoning amounts are approximate, I tend to just sprinkle the spices over the top of the meat until lightly covered – it’s just how I roll).

While meat is cooking and noodles are boiling, slice (or shred, your preference) mozzarella cheese into semi-consistent size and thickness, no more than 1/8 inch thick.

In a 9×13 baking dish or pan, combine noodles, cooked meat and the sauce – stir until combined. Top with cheese (I lay the slices side by side to cover the whole thing), and bake about 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve with bread and salad and watch it get devoured!!

**Substitution: If you can’t find a block of mozzarella, you can use 2 bags of the 2 cup/8-ounce shredded kind).

(This dish is consistently requested by my entire family any time we have a get together and it never fails to please. If you have any leftovers, they taste even more delicious the next day!)
