Description

Easy and pleasy! This chicken recipe is easy to make, and simply delicious. Creamy chicken, topped with garlic salt, poppy seeds, and buttery Ritz crackers. Seriously, you need this in your life.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • 1 tub Sour Cream (8 Oz)
  • 1 pound Cooked Chicken Shredded
  • Garlic Salt, to taste
  • 4 cups Ritz Crackers, Crushed
  • 1 stick Butter
  • Poppyseed, To Taste

Preparation

Take a deep breath. Realize you are about to spend the next 15 minutes of your life preparing comfort food. Exhale, smile, and love that comfort food for what it does to your soul (and not your thighs).

In a 13 x 9 pan, thoroughly combine the cream of chicken soup and sour cream. Add shredded chicken. (*Tip: Feel free to substitute canned chicken. It tastes just the same, and is sometimes more time-effective than cooking up the raw stuff.) Stir together until chicken is covered, and spread evenly in the pan. Sprinkle garlic salt to taste.

Crush four cups of Ritz crackers, leaving some in small chunks. Melt one stick of butter, and mix it into the crackers.

Sprinkle and spread the crackers on top of the chicken mixture. Sprinkle poppy seeds to taste.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until warm throughout.

Warning: If you are an emotional eater, invite friends over before making this recipe. Remember to share, and resist from eating this entire thing yourself.

Enjoy!
