Description

An addictive pizza with melted fresh mozzarella adorned with prosciutto, peppery arugula and parmesan.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cups Flour
  • 1 whole Pizza Dough, Uncooked
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornmeal
  • 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
  • ⅛ teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 7 ounces, fluid Fresh Mozzarella, Sliced Thin
  • ¼ pounds Prosciutto, About 6 Thin Slices
  • 1 cup Arugula
  • 6 slices Parmesan Shavings

Preparation

Preheat oven to 500°.

Place a handful of flour on a counter and on a rolling pin. With a rolling pin, roll out the dough until thin and about 10 to 12 inches in diameter.

Put a small handful of cornmeal on a pizza stone or baking sheet and transfer the pizza dough onto it. Drizzle olive oil on and brush on dough. Sprinkle salt on top of dough.

Place the mozzarella on the dough and put in the oven for 13 to 15 minutes, until the mozzarella is melted and the crust is golden.

Allow to cool for a second. Next, place the prosciutto, arugula and parmesan on top. Slice and serve!

We make this same pizza and absolutely love it. The only thing I do differently is put all the toppings on the pizza before baking, because I love how crispy the prosciutto gets! I bet it is good to put the arugula on at the end though, like you do.

We made a few changes – added some sauce so it wasn’t dry – this was YUMMY!
