Description

A delicious, hearty sauce that’s simple and fills the tummy!

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cups Chopped Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • ¼ pounds Bacon, Cooked And Chopped
  • ½ teaspoons Sugar
  • ½ cups Red Wine Or Red Cooking Wine
  • ½ teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 can Plum Tomatoes (28 Oz), I Crush The Tomatoes With My Hands Before Adding To Pan
  • ¼ cups Parmesan Cheese

Preparation

Heat olive oil in a large saute pan over medium heat. Saute onion until soft. Stir in garlic and bacon and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese. Simmer on low for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Right before serving, stir in cheese. Serve over linguine or any other pasta.

*I’ve varied this sauce slightly by adding either ground sausage or ground beef. Both are very good! I’m sure there are many possibilities!
