Description

So easy and so yummy, tastes like your favorite nachos!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 jar (16 Oz. Jar) Chunky Salsa, Do Not Drain
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Can) Chili With Beans, Use Your Favorite Brand
  • 1 bag (7 Oz. Bag) Tortilla Chips, Plain, Broken Up A Little Bit
  • 3 cups Grated Cheddar Cheese

Preparation

Grease a 9×12 casserole dish, set aside. In a large frying pan, brown ground beef with salt, pepper and chili powder. Cook until no longer pink, breaking up chunks with spoon. Add salsa and chili beans to the ground beef mixture and mix together well. You will layer the chips first, followed by the meat mixture, then cheese; repeat. Divide evenly, ending with meat and cheese on top. Mine made 3 layers. Bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes. Enjoy!

You can also top this with sour cream and a little more salsa if desired!

My family loved this, it was like nachos, a walking taco, and a chili pie all wrapped up into one casserole dish. I used ground turkey and turkey chili but it didn’t make a difference was still really good and really bad (for my jeans!) :)

This was very easy to make. I doubled the recipe and will have a ton of leftovers. My husband and I loved it! Next time I’ll add more chips for more varied texture.

This is like taco filling, so I recommend having soft flour or corn tortillas ready to serve it in. Taste was good although a bit salty.

I made a few minor changes due to what I had on hand, but it turned out really great. A easy week night meal!
